Kristy
Kristy grew up less than two miles from the shop (according to Google Maps on her phone), so getting to open Scarlet Raven Tattoo that close to where she spent her whole childhood feels like a “full circle” moment for her.
After leaving her childhood home, Kristy received a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Evolution, and Animal Behavior from the University of Minnesota.
After THAT, she had four beautiful and hilarious children, with the older two lending their (middle) namesakes to this very tattoo shop.
When Kristy is not piercing, running the shop, or being an embarrassing mom, she likes to hang out with her cats (the clear golden boy was Leonidas aka Mr. Peepers, RIP), her dumb dogs (the clear golden girl is Mystic the Mistake), and the pigeon who in love with her (Mr. Pigeon Cybercluck).
She also loves the ASOIAF books and shows (that’s Game of Thrones stuff for those of you that are not complete dorks like she is), though she does also enjoy Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, horror movies, vulgar comedies, Marvel movies, and true crime documentaries.
She’s also plant based, and will probably cry if you bring her vegan food you made or picked up from somewhere (she does not like to cook, at all).
Someday she dreams of buying an RV and driving anywhere she can, with the pet fox she is determined to one day own.

Allie
Allie grew up in Mounds View, MN and spent a lot of time working with her mom at a local vet clinic as a veterinary assistant and then as a veterinary technician.
Allie definitely knows her way around needles and wound care so you are in excellent hands with her! We all think it’s perfect that she has combined her creativity with her stellar understanding of anatomy and cleanliness.
Allie lives the nerd life with her favorite nerdoms are Supernatural, Mass Effect, spooky stuff, true crime, and musicals. Allie has three creatures that masquerade as cats, Luma, Morticia (aka Mo), and Loki.
She also has a human son Isaac, who has the cutest smile on Earth! She loves tattooing pinups, bones, and nature stuff.

sPENCER
Spencer is a well rounded artist, that has been in the industry over 13 years now! They are full of creativity, and ideas and love helping people put their ideas into a beautiful tattoo! They moved here from North Carolina 2 years ago where they spent most of their tattooing career. Their pronouns are they/them. They believe in making their clients feel like family, and offer a safe space to talk to about anything. They offer free life advice, funny dad jokes, corny phrases, and spunky attitudes. They love fishing, camping, and traveling. They’re very family oriented and have a lot of patience. Thanks to their nephew for adding in to that patience level.

pIERCING aPPRENTICES
hannah
Hannah grew up right in the Halloween Capital of the World, Anoka, MN. She’s a huge fan of everything scary, weird, and creepy, and could talk about anything from Coraline to her strange pets for hours.
Hannah began working the front desk at Scarlet Raven in January of 2025 and began apprenticing as a piercer under Kristy in May of 2025 with Taylor as a second mentor. She’s passionate about many forms of art and has been interested in body art, such as piercings and tattoos, since she was young. She’s very excited to begin her apprenticeship and would love to pierce you!
Izzie is Kristy’s piercing apprentice, and has been working with the crew (Kristy, Allie, and Bri) for over a year! She is at the beginning of her apprenticeship and is looking to get the numbers she needs to complete that apprenticeship! Call for more details about discounted prices for apprentice piercings!
Izzie grew up in a few different areas of Minnesota, she loves her family and friends, and her babies (her cats). She loves any and all things that are beautiful and cool looking, like art, decor, fashion, jewelry, makeup, you name it! She is a lover of music and film, TV Shows, movies, etc. and will analyze all the characters, the relationships between them, and anything else you could possibly analyze. Some of her favorite genres are horror, comedy, cartoons, and anything that combines them!

Bri is one of our front desk employees and has worked with Allie and Kristy in the body art industry for over a year now.
Bri grew up in NE Minneapolis and loves animals, thrifting, and plants! She is great at answering any questions you may have on the phone or in the shop!
imerson
Imerson is from the Anoka area and in (ideally) her final year of college for Biology. She is big into nerdy things and is a big Marvel fan. She is “a work in progress” comic collector, and loves all things animals. She is also a “work in progress” 3D modeler & printer.
izzie
Izzie has been working with the crew (Kristy, Allie, and Bri) for over a year!
